TiPi On Vimeo

Hi everyone!

Today I am releasing my first short film, TiPi, on Vimeo!

TiPi was my senior thesis film that I made during my final semester at Grand Valley State University that was based on a short story I wrote in my Junior year (and if you couldn't guess, is what TiPi Productions LLC is named after). I feel that the themes of this story are still relevant today and I hope that you enjoy!

TiPi had its festival premiere at the East Lansing Film Festival where I won the "Most Promising Student Filmmaker" award! It also played at the Made-In-Michigan Film festival, Open Projector Night, the SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival, and finished off its festival run at the Trans Stellar Film Festival in Detroit last year.

I would like to thank everyone who helped make this film possible! My professors John Harper Philbin and Kim Roberts for giving me notes and guidance. Huge thanks to my crew: to my ADs Michael Snyder and Ted Stewart, my Director of Photography Stewart Smith, production designer Casey Burr and art assistant Keegan Quigley, editor Jason Baker, sound mixer Kristopher Sloboda, script supervisor Benjamin Barker, the G&E crew of John Red, Jonathan Sessions, Dylan Sugg, and Chad Miller, PA Casey Webb, and catering by Merrilou Ezinga. Special thanks to Oindrila Mukherjee for the notes and feedback on the original short story I wrote in her creative writing class!

And to my cast - Max Robinson as Toby, Adam Gräber as Kyle, Brandon Loiselle as Ethan, and Trenton Lee Culkin as the Cashier, (and Chapman the snake RIP). Thank you! I’m happy to finally release TiPi to the public and I hope you enjoy!
