That's A Wrap on 2018

2018 is wrapping up and I’ve been reflecting on the highlights of this past year. It was a rough year in many aspects, but I am proud of the work that I was able to do this year and wanted to share some of my key moments of 2018.

My short film, The King of Oakes and Commerce had its world premiere and played at several other film festivals in the US and at the Ocean Coast Film Festival in Lavra, Portugal! It won 2 awards including Best Short Film at the 2018 Sunrise45 Film Festival in Alpena, MI and the Achievement in Editing Award at the Southeast Michigan Film Festival!

TiPi, my first short film, wrapped up its festival run at its first LGBT festival; The Transstellar Film Festival in Detroit, MI. Since it premiered in 2013, TiPi has played at 5 film festivals throughout the US and won the Most Promising Student Filmmakers Award at the 2013 East Lansing Film Festival. Watch for its online release in 2019!

I had a great year producing with TiPi Productions, LLC this year. Projects included a series of videos for The State of Michigan’s Attorney General’s “OK 2 Say” school violence prevention program, web videos for Rose Engraving Company and MagNeat Fasteners, as well a working as an associate producer with EightFold Creative on the Sate of Michigan’s “GoingPro” video campaign.

Finally, in November I wrapped a short film with the working title License & Registration. The film was written, directed, produced, edited, and performed by me. License & Registration is the story of Elliott Nelson, a cop impersonator with good intentions, who makes his first traffic stop. The film is eyeing a Spring 2019 premiere. The film was Co-Produced by Chris Randall in association with Fulvew Productions and features Aidan Callahan, Cameron Judd, and Mariea Luisa Macavei.

Cheers!
